SMOO Challenge is back - and it is bigger than ever!
Join in SMOO Challenge 2025 to bring the SMU community closer together as we start with a step, and end with an impact!
SMOO Challenge is a virtual race that aims to raise funds to support fellow students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. It champions community spirit, physical and mental well-being, and equal access to education.
From 12 – 21 September 2025, walk, run or cycle to help us reach 25,000KM and raise $500,000 for the SMU Bursary Fund. Join the SMU community and make every kilometre count!

WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR SMOO CHALLENGE 2025?
SMOO Challenge Flag-Off
12 September 2025, Friday, 3.00pm – 6.30pm @ SMU Campus Green
For the first time since SMOO Challenge began in 2020, join us for the physical flag-off on SMU Campus Green to kick off the virtual race! Expect a ninja warrior obstacle course, carnival games, photo booth, exclusive prizes, and exciting performances by the SMU community.

SMU Amazing Race is back, and this year, in conjunction with SMOO Challenge 2025! This time round, there is a category for students too!
All SMOO Challenge participants are eligible to sign up for the SMU Amazing Race that will happen during SMOO Challenge Flag-off on 12 September 2025.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR SMU AMAZING RACE?
Step 1:
- Register individually for SMOO CHALLENGE
- Use discount code SMUSTUDENT to enjoy a special rate of only $12 for SMU students. All proceeds go towards SMU Bursary Fund.
Step 2:
- Form teams of 5.
- Have 1 team member submit team details for SMU AMAZING RACE
- All team members must have registered for SMOO Challenge to be eligible for SMU Amazing Race.
