TERMS & CONDITIONS
- SMU Vivace 2025 is organised by Singapore Management University ("SMU"). The Organising Committee of SMU Vivace 2025 shall be referred to as “Organisers”. Participants of the giveaway shall be referred to as "Students”.
- By participating in Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway, you agree to be bound by all the terms and conditions set out herein.
- Students can only participate in Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway via SMU Vivace 2025’s Instagram page, @smuvivace.
QUALIFYING PERIOD
- Student’s will be able to participate in Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway from 10 July 2025, 1200hrs up to 1 August 2025, 2359hrs, and stand a chance to win prize(s).
- Participation in Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway is limited to only one per Instagram account for the total giveaway duration.
- The winner will be selected at random at the end of the contest period for Vivace Word Search Giveaway and be awarded with one prize.
- Organisers reserve the right to change the qualifying period and prizes at any time without prior notice.
ELIGIBILITY
- Students must be a current SMU matriculated student, with a valid student matriculation number.
- Students must not be from the Vivace 2025 Organising Committee.
- Organisers have the absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of Students. Such determination shall be final and conclusive and the Organisers are not obliged to give any reason for its determination.
- Organisers may at its discretion (without assigning any reasons or justifications):
- forfeit, disqualify or refuse to allow any Students to participate in Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway; and
- disregard any incomplete, improper or late entries in relation to Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway.
ISSUANCE OF PRIZES
- All winners of the Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway will be informed via their Instagram accounts through Direct Message from 22 August 2025 to 25 August 2025 to obtain their contact details.
- In the event that the winner fails to provide their contact details within 2 days after the direct message, the prize will be forfeited and passed on to the next chosen winner.
- Upon receiving the notification via Direct Message, winners are required to respond with their valid contact details for verification within the response period stated in the Direct Message. Winners must be a current SMU matriculated student. Organisers reserve the right to forfeit the prize if a winner does not meet this eligibility criteria. Organisers reserve the right to change the response period without any prior notice. Winners must respond within the response period, failing which Organisers reserve the right to replace the winner(s).
- All confirmed winners, who are SMU matriculated students will be announced on @smuvivace’s Instagram Stories on 25 August 2025.
- All confirmed winners of the Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway will be informed via email, with regards to prize collection details.
- Collection of prizes will be held from August 2025 to September 2025. Organisers reserve the right to change the collection period without any prior notice. Prizes must be collected within the collection period. Any prizes uncollected after the collection period will be forfeited.
- Collection venue will be on SMU Campus. Organisers will inform the winners of the exact location via email.
- Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or credit. No compensation shall be payable if a winner is unable to use a prize. There shall be no refund or exchange for any prize.
- Organisers may at its absolute discretion make changes to the game mechanics or prizes at any time.
- Organisers shall not be responsible for any additional cost(s) arising from the use of a prize or part thereof, should these be not specifically indicated as part of the prize.
- All winners are required to collect the prize(s) personally at a designated location within SMU campus. He/she shall collect the prize on the chosen date and time, failing which Organisers reserve the right to forfeit the prize(s). If the winners are unable to collect their prizes personally, they may authorise a third party to collect the prizes on his/ her behalf and the third party is required to provide the winners’ full name and matriculation number.
- Organisers will not entertain any appeals or disputes relating to, including but not limited to:
- Results for Word Search Giveaway;
- delayed or missed response(s) during the contact period; and
- failure to collect prizes within the stipulated collection period.
GENERAL
- Organisers may at its’ discretion and without prior notice modify, amend and/or vary Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway’s terms and conditions in such a manner as the Organisers deem fit from time to time.
- Any decisions made by the Organisers in relation to Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway shall be final and conclusive, and no further correspondence will be entertained.
- Organisers shall not be held responsible for any problems with the network, computer hardware, software or any breakdown or failure that affects any Students’ participation in Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway.
- Organisers shall not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of, or in connection with Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway and/or redemption or use of the prizes howsoever arising, including but not limited to, fulfilment of the prize(s), any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected and/or lost in the post, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension, the Organisers shall not entitle any party to any claim or compensation against the Organisers for any and all losses or damage suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
- Organisers may exercise its sole discretion to use the Students’ names, identification, image, and comments relating to the Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway experience and prize for the purpose of announcing the winner, or for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media without any fee being paid.
- It is a condition precedent in Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway that Students consent to the information they submit with their entry, including and not limited to: personal contact information, social media network handles, publicly accessible data via the application programming interfaces (APIs) of said social network handles, being entered into a database and Organisers may use this information to facilitate the mechanics of Vivace 2025 Word Search Giveaway.

TICKET GIVEAWAY
- Tickets were given out during Freshmen Orientation Run 1, 2, and 3 to freshmen attending.
- Scan the QR code on the ticket to pre-register and follow @smuvivace on Instagram.
- Present this ticket on Vivace Day-1 or Day-2 at Big Steps or LKS Level 1 Registration Booth.
- First come first served! 50 mystery prizes up for grabs at each registration booth venue each day!
- In celebration of SMU’s 25th Anniversary, the 25th redeemer at each booth each day wins a special prize.

- Prizes will be given on a first come first serve basis upon showing the physical ticket obtained from SMU Freshmen Orientation during 14 or 15 August 2025 respectively and be awarded with one prize.
Organisers reserve the right to change the redemption period and mystery prizes at any time without prior notice.
ELIGIBILITY
- ‘Students’ shall be referred to as students matriculating in AY2025/2026 and have participated in SMU Freshmen Orientation. Only such Students are eligible to participate in the Vivace 2025 Ticket Giveaway.
- Students must be a current SMU undergraduate student, with a valid student matriculation number.
- Students must have pre-registered for Vivace 2025 and follow SMU Vivace’s Instagram account (@smuvivace) at the time of registration on 14 or 15 August respectively.
- Students must present the physical ticket in either LKS Level 1 or Big Steps pre-registration booth respectively during 14 or 15 August 2025.
- Organisers have the absolute discretion to determine the eligibility of Students. Such determination shall be final and conclusive and the Organisers are not obliged to give any reason for its determination.
- Organisers may at its discretion (without assigning any reasons or justifications):
- forfeit, disqualify or refuse to allow any Students to redeem the mystery prize for Vivace 2025 Ticket Giveaway; and
disregard any incomplete, improper or late registration in relation to Vivace 2025 Ticket Giveaway.
ISSUANCE OF PRIZES
- Only the first 100 students to register at LKS Level 1 or Big Steps booth on 14 and 15 August 2025 respectively will be eligible to redeem a mystery prize. In celebration of SMU’s 25th anniversary, the 25th student at each booth will receive a special edition mystery prize.
- Redemption of prizes will be on 14 and 15 August 2025 respectively. It will be on a first come first serve basis.
- Prizes are subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
- Prizes are non-negotiable, non-transferable and non-exchangeable for cash or credit. No compensation shall be payable if a winner is unable to use a prize. There shall be no refund or exchange for any prize.

- It is a condition precedent in Vivace 2025 Ticket Giveaway that Students consent to the information they submit with their entry, including and not limited to: personal contact information, social media network handles, publicly accessible data via the application programming interfaces (APIs) of said social network handles, being entered into a database and Organisers may use this information to facilitate the mechanics of Vivace 2025 Ticket Giveaway.
